Bio

Claudeliah J. Roze is the first African-American woman to hold the Raytheon Intelligence, information, and Services (IIS) Independent Research and Development (IRAD) Process & Execution Lead (PEL) position. As the IIS R&D PEL, Claudeliah directs the execution of over 2 dozen cybersecurity, machine learning/artificial intelligence (AI/ML), analytics & sensing, and command and control technology efforts. Claudeliah regularly engages with and briefs cross functional senior leadership, technical directors, and SMEs to understand and execute to IIS’s business and customer strategy, develop efforts that align with the strategy, and lead projects to successful completion while meeting critical milestones and deliverables and creating discriminating intellectual property for the company.
At the Raytheon Company, her potential for success has been recognized in her identification as an IIS Woman Leader of the Future and selection for the Engineering Leadership Talent Pool and Career Accelerator Cohort. She serves on the Raytheon Women’s Network leadership team, having created and served in the “Innovation Advocate” role in 2017 and 2018. She is successfully implementing a vision with partnership from RWN and Raytheon’s Black Employees Network (RayBEN) to increase innovation and provide women and minorities with expanded exposure and networking opportunities within the technical community. She is intentional in mentoring with a particular focus on women and ethnic minorities and encouraging middle and high school students to embrace the rewarding challenge of pursuing a STEM career.
At multiple Fortune 500 corporations, Claudeliah has consistently distinguished herself as a dynamic technical leader with incredible promise, relentless ambition, and a keen ability to positively influence others. During a time when our nation is facing an increasingly complex security environment defined by rapid technological change, Claudeliah has directly impacted United States readiness by empowering innovation and delivering new capabilities to Defense & Intelligence customers.
Claudeliah balances her career aspirations with the joys of being a wife and a mother to a set of 6 year old twins. She enjoys bike riding, long walks, and “movie nights” with her family and has been a children’s Sunday school teacher and youth leader for almost 15 years.
