Bio

Dorothy is currently the Knowledge Systems Manager at General Dynamics Electric Boat. She earned degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Dorothy started her career as an engineer at Electric Boat and worked on a variety of mechanical systems and components on three classes of US Navy submarines before transitioning to engineering management. Her love of the technical work led her to explore the barriers to knowledge flow, and she was given the opportunity to solve the problems she had identified. She built a team, defined the objectives, and is currently responsible for improving this flow of knowledge across the organization.
Dorothy has also volunteered as an EMT, served as President of the Board of Trustees for a Montessori school, and continues to serve as a mentor and tutor to local high school students.
Dorothy resides in East Lyme, CT, with her husband of 20 years and 16 year old daughter.
