Bio

Kimberly Carson is a Senior Business Analyst with Northrop Grumman. She joined Northrop Grumman as Lead Information Architect to create the user interface website design and taxonomy framework for the CDC’s 1st digital academic journal “Preventing Chronic Disease”. After studying Computer Science at Spelman College she received a BS in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University. She received her MBA at DeVry’s Keller Graduate School of Management with a concentration in Project Management. While working for AT&T as a User Interface Programmer, she received her Human Factors Engineering certification from Bell Labs. Her more than 26 years professional experience include project leadership, computer programming, process re-engineering, business systems analysis, taxonomy, website design and usability for both commercial and government organizations. In 2002 as Lead Information Architect, she created the user interface design and taxonomy framework for Georgia State Government portal re-design project. Currently she is conducting Business Process Improvement Analysis for the CDC’s National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD and TB Prevention.
