Bio

Crystal L Jackson is director of F-15 Development & Emerging business within Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems business.

Before assuming her current position, Jackson held the role as Staff Executive to the President of Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems. In this role, she advised and assisted the president, facilitated operation and new business reviews, coordinated efforts across the leadership team, and led SAS level special projects. Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems is a leading provider of integrated sensor, communication and electronic warfare systems giving military forces the most accurate and timely actionable information available for the network-centric battlefield. With a workforce of 13,300 and 2017 sales of $6.4 billion, SAS is headquartered in McKinney, Texas, with operations across the U.S. and internationally.

Jackson joined Raytheon in 2005 as an embedded senior software engineer and has since held various engineering and program roles with increasing responsibilities.

Jackson started her career at Motorola where she was a software test lead and later joined Lockheed Martin as an embedded software developer on the Lockheed Martin Joint Strike Fighter program.

Jackson earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from Southern Methodist University. She holds Raytheon certifications in Program Leadership, Raytheon Six Sigma, and Earned Value Management. She is also a graduate of Raytheon’s Systems Engineering Technical Development and Chief Engineering Development programs.

The founder of No Quit Zone, Jackson helps students realize and maximize their full potential by providing tools and tips for personal growth and skills for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and leadership development. She was featured in the November 2016 Engineers in the Wild series promotion on GoldieBlox’s Cyber Monday blog and one of Raytheon’s 2011 recipients of Black Engineer of The Year Award (BEYA) – Modern Day Technology Leadership award.
