Learning Objective: Participants will understand the value proposition both minority and majority professional societies brings to students, faculty, and to the institution



 



Professional society participation by students at HBCUs is extremely important as students start their career path. It is important for students and faculty to participate in both minority and non-minority professional society student chapters, as each provides different tools and networks for their professional journey. This seminar will include representatives from various societies to discuss the merits of participation, and personal success stories on how these societies played a key role in their career success.
