From the Individual to the Institution: Exploring the Experiences of Academic Librarians of Color
Thursday, March 26th
10:30 AM to 11:30 AM
Oregon Convention Center
What impact do academic librarians of color have on the profession and the communities we serve? This session will help articulate the value of diversity through a guided dialogue based on panelists’ research findings regarding the experiences of academic librarians of color. We will investigate how diversity (or lack thereof) impacts the institution and the individual and engage with audience members in a multidimensional and analytical discussion on race in academic libraries.
